After years of deep engagement in aluminum window and door foreign trade, I have handled countless orders and worked with customers from all over the world. The biggest insight I’ve gained is that market demands for windows and doors vary far more widely across countries than we could ever imagine.
At the beginning, I thought good quality and nice design would be enough to go global. Later I realized that climate, living habits, building standards, and even aesthetic preferences all quietly shape customers’ choices.
For example, European customers highly value environmental performance, sound insulation and energy-saving standards. They have strict requirements for sealing technology and profile thickness, and prefer simple, low-key designs, focusing on durability and local certification.
Customers in Southeast Asia and the Middle East face high temperatures, heavy rain and strong winds. Their top needs are sun protection, heat insulation, wind resistance and corrosion resistance. They prefer high-shading, heat-resistant glass and stable, strong window structures.
North American customers care more about safety standards and easy installation. They have clear rules for hardware quality and wind pressure performance, and love large-size windows with great lighting.
Customers in South America and Africa focus more on cost-performance and practicality. They want reliable quality at an affordable price, suitable for local residential and construction projects.
Even window sizes, opening styles and colors are completely different. Some prefer casement windows, others like sliding windows. Some love simple black, white and gray, while others choose bright wood-grain colors.
